Abstract The aim of the present study is to test the possibility of utilizing EI-Alameen crude oil and some of its fractions for the production of vitamin 82 by microbial fermentationA variety of veasts were cultivated in different carbo- hydrate-containing media. Candida guilliermondiiWicker- ham, Cguilliermondii strain 1 and Pichia polymorpha were able to produce riboflavin from these media. guilliermondii Wickerham was found to be superior to the other tested yeasts from the stand point of growth yield and riboflavin production. |
