Abstract

48, 72 and 96 h with
different sodium benzoate concentrations (0.00%, 0.01%,
’0.05% and the permissible 0.10%) dissolved in 2 liters of
distilled water containing 3% (w/v) agar agar. Then the
seedlings were transferred to plain agar agar to test the
effect of recovery from sodium benzoate treatments for
further 24 and 48 h. The experiment was carried out in an
