Abstract
1- In chapter I an introduction and the literature on ternary systems with special reference to those already studied are given. The survey on these systems includes their graphical representation together with the distribution curves and their theoretical equations. In this chapter are also included the different methods of desalting sea water viz the electro dialysis method, the freezing method, the formation of hydrates method, the reverse osmosis method, the ion exchange method, the distillation method and the chemical methods.
2- The second chapter includes the experimental part which involves the preparation of solutions and materials used.
