Abstract

The present work aimed to improve rosemary plant productivity of herb and volatile oil by using the best treatments of bio-fertilization (biological strains) and alternative saline water irrigation as well as bio-fertilization and saline water irrigation from different wells sources. In addition, studying the effects of these treatments on growth, herb yield, leaves yield, volatile oil yield, some chemical constituents as (carbohydrates, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium), the volatile oil components and antimicrobial activity of rosemary under sandy soil and drip irrigation system of North Sinai conditions. The obtained results cleared that rosemary plants must be fertilized by the interaction treatment between mixture of Azotobacter (A) with Bacillus (B) and irrigated with alternative irrigation [AI (1) 397 ppm (w.w.) then once of 3117 ppm (s. w.)] to obtain the highest productivity of herb, leaves and volatile oil under sandy soil and drip irrigation system of North Sinai region conditions. In addition, rosemary plants must be fertilized by the interaction treatment between mixture of Azotobacter (A) with Bacillus (B) and irrigated with the first well [397ppm(W1)] to obtain the highest productivity of herb, leaves and volatile oil under sandy soil and drip irrigation system of North Sinai region conditions. Likewise, effect of the two experiments treatments on the components (GLC) and antimicrobial activity of rosemary volatile oil was also studied.
