Abstract

The thesis Presents the importance of wind energy nowadays, as well as shows the interface systems between wind turbines and the grid or loads. It Proposes a new and simple control strategy to achieve sensorless maximum power extraction from available wind power. Also, it Proposes a presence of battery storage system to store a surplus of wind energy and supply this energy to the load during wind power shortage. It Proposes a simple control strategy for the operation of stand-alone variable speed wind turbines connected to load to supply controlled output load voltage in terms of amplitude and frequency. Also, it Presents a load power management control strategy for the operation of a stand-alone variable speed wind energy based on the state of charge of the battery. Finally, it Presents a using of real-time simulator technique to test the physical devices in real environment.
