Abstract Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that give rise to all of the body’s cells and organs. It has capacity for unlimited self renewal by symmetric cell division, every stem cell can form two identical copies of itself. Similarly Stem cells in bone marrow are capable of converting themselves into functioning liver tissue cell.In view of the fact that the hematopiotic stem cells transdifferentiate to hepatocytes by infused into peripheral vein. It is not surprising to find that we can use bone marrow to help treat liver disease and reduce the need for liver transplantation. Thus To ensure that the human stem cells developed into liverlike cells, the researchers tested for the presence of a human protein, albumin that is only produced by the liver. Steps:This study included 30 patients with Child C class liver cirrhosis. They were selected from the inpatients of internal medicine and liver disease department faculty of medicine tanta university. |
