Abstract In the field of radiation protection, it has become evident that new polymeric materials could be successfully utilized as shielding materials for the attenuation of radiation intensity to a permissible level in the surrounding. This work provides an investigation of spatial and energy distributions within polyvinyl chloride slabs of different thicknesses. A compact fast neutron generator (D-T) type has been utilized in this study. |
