Abstract

In this master we will discuss different encryption and security technologies in wireless start with comparing between Wireless and wired networks and what are their advantages and disadvantages.
We will speak about WEP Technology how it works ,it’s frame format, how data is encrypted and drawbacks.
Second encryption generation was WP A which appear to fix WEP Weakness and then we explain it’s algorithm ,how send data and encrypt it ,what new was added by WP A like TKIP and MIC.
Third encryption generation was \VP A2 which is used till now in wireless devices when it start to work, why WP A2 uses instead of WP A, how it works. what new technologies were added in WP A2, all people are thinking that WP A2 the most protection technology in Wi-Fi but a new hole in WPA2 begin to be exploited by hackers to get data from network the hole called ”hole 196” .
In the last chapter we will simulate this hole, how hacker uses it and how to overcome this problem using c# language
