The emotional intelligence means a lot of character skills, which help the person to live happily among people without causing any sadness to others. So the emotional intelligence comes as life’s experiences, and does not come suddenly. This experiences increase with daily social exercises and daily life’s problems, and how to treat with them. The emotional intelligence does not mental only to know how to manage and control self, but, also psychical to help the person to bear life’s pressures. Moreover, the emotional intelligence leads to psychical balance, which causes reconciliation with self and environment’s pressures and hardness.
Everyone has the emotional intelligence, but, it is different from one to other, and from age to another. So we have to increase the emotional intelligence in our children, especially youth because they will manage and lead the society, firstly his small society then the whole society with it’s plans, cases and problems. So that we must help the students to be open minded, good communicative to know how to express their ideas and opinions, and good negotiator to know when speak and when listen. Indeed, school and family do the basic role to make good character, especially school environment has great effects on the student and his character, because they are in the same age and they believe each other, and they consider their teachers their friends through students’ activities. So, the teachers must be in with the students inside and outside class, in order to give the students all life experiences to help them to get red of any bad thinking, and stop any wrong action in favor of themselves and their society. The school environment has very important role to build the students’ character and their way of thinking.
Students’ activities are part of school’s plan. So we have very important question and we have to study it which is ”Do students’ activities have relationship with emotional intelligence?”
Study’s problem :-
This study aims to identify the disclosure of the quality of students’ activities and elements of the school’s environment by identifying the level and nature of Emotional Intelligence of students in whole education, according to education
( Government - Experimental - Special) and the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and student s’ activities, also the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and elements of the school’s environment .
The sample of study consisted of 120 students from different schools (Government , Experimental , Special ) Due to the large size of the study’s population ,so the researcher was merely took this number as a reflection of the students’ society .
In the study, was used several of the study measures as tools for data collection, including Emotional Intelligence scale , a measure of student activities and elements of the school environment and the scale of the socio-economic - cultural level .
Also adopted a curriculum study relied on Relational Descriptive Approach which the description will be the subject of study and hence a clearer picture will show the positive and negative points in the subject of the study .
The researcher noted that many of high school’s students do not have the conversation management skill. And, they do not know how to listen to the other to learn or to understand what exactly the other want and mean. So that they lose the other experiences, also, lose the way of exchange the opinion to get the solutions for the problem or hard situations, which face them.
Moreover, there are many students have this skill or have the emotional intelligence, which helps them in many fields; personal, psychical, social and educational. So, these students have psychical balance, so that, they success to solve their problem in a right way without psychical or social pressure.
The researcher thinks that life experiences can be developed, because we can increase the degree of emotional intelligence. The opposite of mental intelligence hardly we increase it. The development of emotional intelligence may be with students’ activities.
So that, the researcher find that subject is very important to study and search for the reasons, which make many youth do not have life skills or emotional intelligence. Trying to know the defection of character, and why they can not express themselves, or can not manage their life to help them to take the right decision.
Study’s aims :-
1. To exposure the kinds and quality of the students’ activities.
2. To appointing the level of the emotional intelligence for high school’s students in different school (privet -governmental- experimental).
3. To know the relation between the emotional intelligence and the students’ activities.
Study’s questions :-
1. What is the level of high school students’ emotional intelligence?
2. Do the different of the emotional intelligence depend on the different of students’ activities?
3. Is the emotional intelligence different from girls to boys?
4. What is the relation between the emotional intelligence and students’ activities?
5. Does the kind of students’ activities depend on school (privet -governmental- experimental)?
6. Does the high school students’ emotional intelligence depend on school (privet -governmental- experimental)?
