Abstract The present study aims to assess the relationship between organizational climate and staff nurses’ job outcome in Sherbein General Hospital. A descriptive eo relational design was used. The study was carried out on 160 nursing personnel at the Sherbein General Hospital. The data were collected using questionnaire consists of three parts: part (1) aims at collecting data about personal and job characteristics of the respondents such as age, marital status, and number of children, current position, unit and years of nursing experience. Part (If) aims to examine organizational climate and it includes 86 sub items. Part (Ill) aims to assess ’nurses’ job outcome. It includes 28 sub items. The results of this study revealed that nurses’ job outcome have positive link with organizational climate elements except in nurse-client relationship, nurses who had 20-29 years old, married, have 1-2 children, nursing are holding diploma, staff nurses with experience less than 10 years have relations with organizational climate elements and nurses’ job outcome. While there was no significant relation between nurse-client relationship and personal and job characteristics. The study recommended that create an environment in which collaboration exists in clinical practice between nurses and :, patients and their relations, conduct training program for nurses about safety measurements. |
