Abstract

In this investigation the ultrasonic evaluation of a total number of 120 normal adult cattle and sheep eyes and the eyes of 52 dogs, 24 cats and 6 horses was conducted by using all purpose scanner.
In the present study, the ultrasonic illustrations (A and B mode) of the normal equine, bovine, ovine, canine and feline eyes showed great similarities between their images with some expected variations in their shape and measurements.
The ultrasonic intraocular meaurements of cattle and sheep eyes by using immersion saline technique was conducted and compared with the physical measurements after freezing of the globes.
Comparsion of A-mode, B-mode and the physical intraocular measurements of cattle and sheep eyes showed that was no significant deference between A-mode and B-mode measurements; meanwhile there was a significant deference between the ultrasonic measurements and the physical measurements which seemed to be due to freezing.
Spread use of ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of many human diseases in recent times.

The newly touched on the use of ultrasound for the diagnosis of some animal diseases , such as gastrointestinal disease , urinary tract and heart , as well as make sure the pregnancy and find out the age of the fetus .
Despite the progress in the study of eye diseases in animals and try to use many of the modern methods of diagnosis , but it has not been studied sufficiently through ultrasound .
Hzl has targeted this study was to determine the best way to examine the eye ultrasound using a multi-purpose device and select images natural to the eye of various animals.
The study aimed to examine the various injuries to the eye in a number of animal ultrasound and compare it with some other means, the results .
In this regard has been studied 120 appointed , including 60 cows and 60 sheep after slaughter directly characterization photographs and measure the internal dimensions of each of them using ultrasound both types (A, B ) and then freeze the eye to the 35 degree Celsius and incising longitudinally and measuring the dimensions of different nature and comparing the two results together .
Also has been studied many different eye injuries using ultrasound in many animals. And compared with the results of other diagnostic methods such as clinical examination and fundus telescope , Alhustobatolgy and other ....
It has been proven that there is a great similarity between the eye’s natural images in all animals present study using ultrasound with some minor differences .
This study has concluded to the importance of ultrasound eye , especially because it is considered the best way to be tested in the current lack of opacity .
Furthermore this proved to ease eye examination in the manner reported in a way , especially for those who do not friendly enough experience in this field.
