Abstract The shape and posture of the lips is partially governed by the underlying dentition and thus can be modified orthodontically. The thickness of the tissue over the symphysis and the nasal structure als contributes to the prominence of the lower face and attention should be paid to the same when as it may camouflage the underlying malocclusion.The purpose of this study was to evaluate soft tissue parameters for Egyptians adult with accepted occlusion using Legan- Burstone analysis; applying new method for soft tissue analysis to provide good diagnosis and treatment planning and relate standard relationship between soft tissue and underling skeletal framework.One hundred cephalometric radiographs of Egyptians adult with age 18-25 years with normal accepted occlusion selected randomly from AlgharbiaGovernate. |
