Abstract The term probiotics refers to live microorganisms that survive passage throuh the gastrointestinal tract and have multiple health beneficial effects on the host .Probiotic bacteria have been the focus of much scientific and commercial interest. This interest is due to a rang of possible health effects of these bacteria .Probiotics are marketed as capsules ,powder ,enriched yogurts,yogurt-like products ,and milks . possible health effects include immune systems stimulation ,cholesterole lowering and prevention of canser recurence .Examples of probiotics are Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG,Lactobacillus acidophillus and Bifido bacterium bifidum. This study aimed to study the effect of probiotics on children who suffering from food allergy .The early status of lifes milk products with probiotics has been century .This study started on september ٢٠١٢ to march ٢٠١٣ at Shebin -El Kom ,Minufiya university hosbital . the iclusion criteria ( age from ٢ to ٩ years old ) .This study included ٩٠ children . they suffering from food allergy and subjects received them standard medical treatment .All data about socioeconomic status ,health status ,food habits and consumption pattern ,food intake ,and anthropometric measurments were obtained also laboratory investigation was carried out on fresh blood serum for determination of biocnhemical parameters All subjects were kept under observation while receiving the standard treatment of food allergy and experimental diet Summary - ١٠٤ - The collected data were subjected to statical analysis to find out standard deviations , significiant difference ,correlationcoefficients between varable,using the computer program SPSS . Most of study subjects were from rural ( ٨٦٫٦ %) more than urban ( ١٣٫٣ %) .Also ,the majority of subjects were classified as lowsocioeconomics class resprents ( ٢٢٪ ) . Regarding methods of vegetables cooking the majority of studied subjects were prefer stwed were ( ٩٣٫٤ %) more than by cooked were ( ٦٠٪), while the rate by uncooked were (٢٠٪) . The distribution of study sample in according with (food habits ) Debending on the way cooking meat and poultry and fish cooked in away ( stewed ) of the sample is ( ٩٥٫٦ % ).more than who cooked in away ( frying ) were ( ٧٧٫٨ % ).while they cooked in away (cooked) way were ( ٤٤٫٥ % ). Than away with (agrilled) was (٤٠٪). The main way value of IgE was the highest among studied groups after dietary intervention it was ( ٨٣٫٥ %) of best in a arthemetic mean .where the value of the ”T” calculated equal to (١١٫٠٩٪) which is greater than the value the ”T” tabuler . which indicates the presence of statically significant difference . The rate of children who suffering from allergy from milk products was (٥١٫٢٪) more than who suffering from fruit allergy (٣٧٫٨٪) more than who suffering from allergy from egg were (١٥٫٦٪), while who suffering from allergy of fish were (١١٫٢ %) . The Distribution of the study sample in accordance with (health history) depending on the type of allergiesOf cases (male, female) were follows as : ١- that the proportion of cases that were infected with (skin allergies) of the sample is (٨٦٫٦٦٧٪) distributed respectively (٥٣٫٣٣٣٪, ٣٣٫٣٣٣٪) of cases (male, female). Summary - ١٠٥ - ٢- that the proportion of cases that were infected with (Eye allergies) of the sample is (٢٦٫٦٦٧٪) distributed respectively (٢٤٫٤٤٤٪, ٢٫٢٢٢٪) of cases (male, female). ٣- that the proportion of cases that were infected with (Nose and chest allergies) of the sample is (٣٧٫٧٧٨٪) distributed respectively (٢٠٫٠٠٠٪, ١٧٫٧٧٨٪) of cases (male, female). ٤- that the proportion of cases that were infected with (Other) of the sample is (٢٫٢٢٢٪) distributed respectively (٢٢٫٢٢٢٪, ٠٠٫٠٠٠٪) of cases (male, female). As for food habits, the distribution of the study sample in accordance with (dietary habits) depending on the number of daily meals of cases (male, female) for the sample of the study and his percentages were as follows: ١- that the proportion of cases which the number of daily meals (three meals) of the sample is (٢٫٢٢٢٪) are distributed in a row (٢٫٢٢٢٪, ٠٫٠٠٠٪) of cases (male, female). ٢- that the proportion of cases which the number of daily meals (four meals) of the sample is (٢٠٫٠٠٠٪) distributed respectively (١٥٫٥٥٦٪, ٤٫٤٤٤٪) of cases (male, female). ٣- that the proportion of cases which the number of daily meals (five meals) of the sample is (٣٥٫٥٥٦٪) distributed respectively (١٥٫٥٥٦٪, ٢٠٫٠٠٠٪) of cases (male, female). ٤- that the proportion of cases which the number of daily meals (six meals) of the sample is (٤٢٫٢٢٢٪) distributed respectively (٢٤٫٤٤٤٪, ١٧٫٧٧٨٪) of cases (male, female). ٥- It is also clear that the research sample has no cases are deleted any meal of food and daily lunches. Summary - ١٠٦ - On other hand were skip meals especially breakfast regarding kind of snacks eaten between meals were (٥٧٫٧٪) and (٦٨٫٩٪) were drink fruit juice .while were eat sweets were (٢٨٪) . The main value of Hemoglobin of PG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from ١٢٫١١٣ ± ١٫٦٨ to ١٣٫٦٣٣ ±٠٫٦٥٧.while CG increased from ١٢٫٢٩١ ± ٠٫٦٦٧ t٠ ١٢٫٩٣١ ± ٠٫٥٩٥ at ( p< ٠٫٠٠١). The main value of red cell count of PG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from ٤٫٤٥١ ± ٠٫٦١٦ t٠ ٥٫٠٥٦ ± ٠٫٢٢٢. while CG increased from ٤٫٤٠٠ ± ٠٫٢٧٥ to ٤٫٦٦٧ ± ٠٫٢٦٨ at (p < ٠٫٠٥ ) . The main value of PCV of PG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from ٤٠٫٥٤٩ ± ١٫٩٤٣ to ٤٣٫٤٠٧ ± ١٫٣٥٠. while CG increased from ٣٨٫١٣٣ ± ١٫٤٠٨ to ٣٩٫٤٨٩ ± ١٫٥٧٦ at ( p <٠٫٠٥ ) . It could be noticed that The main value of MCV of PG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from ٨٤٫٨٠٠ ± ٣٫٦٣٤ to ٨٧٫٩٣٣ ± ٣٫٤٦٧ . while CG increased from ٨٠٫١٣٣ ± ١٫٦١٨ t٠ ٨٣٫٣١١ ± ٢٫٥٢١ at (p < ٠٫٠٥) . After dietary intervention The main value of MCH of PG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from ٢٧٫٢٦٧ ± ١٫٥٨٧ to ٢٨٫١١١ ± ٠٫٧٧٥ .while CG increased from ٢٦٫٨٨٩ ± ٠٫٩٣٥ to ٢٨٫١١١ ± ٠٫٧٧٥ at (p < ٠٫٠٥) . Moreover , the The main value of MCHC of PG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from ٣١٫٨٨٢ ± ٠٫٩٨٤ t٠ ٣٢٫٩٧٨ ± ٠٫٧٥٣ .while CG increased from ٣١٫٤٨٩ ± ٠٫٥٠٦ to ٣٢. ٤٨٩ ± ٠٫٥٠٦ at (p<٠٫٠١) . It could be noticed that The main value of Platelet count of PG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from Summary - ١٠٧ - ٢٧٨٫٦٢٢ ± ٧٣٫٢٨٨ to ٣٢١٫٠٦٧ ± ٥٨٫٩٥٠ .while CG increased from ٢٤٥٫١١١ ± ٤٦٫٢٥١ to ٢٧٧٫٥٥٦ ± ٤٢٫٩١٤ at (p< ٠٫٠١) . After dietary intervention The main value of White cell count of EG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from ٩٫٨٥٨ ± ١٫٧١٧ to ١٠٫٧٠٢ ± ١٫٥٠٦ .while CGincreased from ٧٫٩٨٩ ±١٫٠١٣ to ٨٫٣٨٩ ± ١٫٠١٥ at (p<٠٫٠١) . Moreover , the The main value of IgE of EG was higher than CG and significantly increased after dietary intervention from ٨١٫٧٨٤ ± ١٨٫٣٣٥ to ٥٠٫٢٨٤ ± ٤٫٣١٥ .while CG increased from ٧٧٫٤٠٢± ٥٫٦٨٠ to ٦٤٫١٣٣ ± ٥٫١٨٦ at (p<٠٫٠٥) . Conclution ; Supplemention with probiotic (Lactobacillus bacteria ١٠٩ live cells/ml added to milk ٢٥٠ ml) tend to shorten the recovery time from viral food allergy among children (٢- ٩) years old . |
