Abstract Alkyd and polyestermide resins are polyesters surprisingly scine about 1960 the position of alkyd resins as the predominant type of binder has remained. This is due to a nimber of reasons. They are single- pack system that is stable in can for a long period they are inexpensive on accost performance basis and they are exceeding versatile in performance. They can be modified to give properties ranging form fast hard –drying low flexibility products to slow dyring soft flexible films. The main objective of the present investigation is partial replacement of phthalic anhydrided used in the manufacture of alkyd and polyesteramide resins by the prepared m-phenylene dioxy diacetic acid(pdoda) |
