Abstract

1 - Application of the artery fercepses for minutes to control the primary a period more than 10
haemorrhage in the operations of the ear pinna trimming especially in which no suturing was needed.
2 - Healing with straight edge was achieved in case of sutureless trimming of the ear pinna.
3- Suturing with staples in case of different induced wounds (longitudina1~transverse-middle transverse) resulted in slight scar. It took a lesser time and was more efficient in fixation of the cartilage edges during the healing period than it happened iii case of silk suturing
4 - Suturing with staples was considered faster, simpler than suturing with silk where no need to more instruments used in silk or stainless steel wire suturing (including catgut and artery forcepses for controlling the haemorrhage Silk,Stainless steej wire and pair of scissors for suturing- Splint or kirchiner pins for the cartilage fixation).
5 - Otoplasty with pedicle flap technique to restore the missed segment of the pinna achieved success where covering the raw surface was completed by another flap from the scalp region.
6 - Fusion of the two ears then separationwjthout suturing the borders resulted in a better result than resulted in pedicle flap technique because the transplanted part included a cartilage and was considered one step technique. However it could be only applied on long eared animals.
