Abstract Two hundred and fifty samples of raw milk, cream, icecream, laban raieb and laban khud (50 of each) were collected from different localities in Cairo and Giza Governorates for enumeration and isolation of staphylococci Staphylococcus aureus ,. thermonuclease production and sensitivity of coagulase positive strains to some chemotherapeutic drugs. Sensitivity test revealed tbat coagulase pasitive TNase positive and coa~lase-po$itive TNase negative strains were sensitive to erytbrollycin, cotrimoxazol, chloramphenical, tetracycline.’ allpicillin,cephaloridine, .gentamycin and pinicillin G. in v”ying ~erC*Dtages 72%, 52%: 68% The public health importance and the economic significance of isolated Staph. aureus as well as suggestive measures for improving the quality of the products are given. |
