Abstract New simple, sensitive and selective analytical methods for determination of residual ceftriaxone sodium, cefdinir & tirofiban hydrochloride monohydrate on stainless steel surface of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipments during cleaning validation process. Cotton swabs, moistened with suitable extraction solution were used to remove any residues of drugs from stainless steel surfaces, drug residues were determined by HPLC-UV using a suitable mobile phase, injection volume & HPLC column. A simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of tirofiban in pure form and pharmaceutical formulation. The proposed method is based on measuring the absorbance of tirofiban at 226 nm in acetate buffer of pH 6.0. The factors affecting the absorbance of the tirofiban were carefully studied and optimized. The proposed method was applied for the determination of tirofiban in its injection premix. |
