Abstract

8.1 Self-compacting concrete (SCC) an exceptional building material, which offers various advantages to the construction process due to its outstanding characteristics. Both the productivity and the quality of the concrete members can be improved by using SCC. Experimental examinations on fresh and hardened properties of self-compacting properties concrete with demolition of buildings like the crushed ceramic and crushed red brick were conducted. Recycled aggregate (RA) with 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% as a replacement of coarse aggregate was used. The properties of RSCC mixes and the behaviors of RSCC beams under flexural loads were evaluated. Also, the effect of elapsed time and re-tempering process on the properties of fresh RSCC was evaluated.
