Abstract
was to compare sublingual misoprostol to
intravenous oxytocin in reduction of blood loss during C.S.
Subjuects and methods: The study sample was two hundred delivered
by C.S. under spinal anathesia.women after delivery of the baby were
randomised into Misoprostol and Oxytocin groups. The Hct-pre,Hctpost,
blood loss, Hb% change and Hct% change values were collected.
Results: This comparative study has shown that there’s no significant
difference between the four groups regardin the Hct-pre,Hct-post,blood
loss,Hb% change and Hct% change.
Conclusion: there’s no difference between use of sublingual misoprosto
and oxytocin infusion in reduction of blood loss during C.S.
