Abstract
Cathepsin L,is a member of papin family which is a powerful lysosomal enzyme synthesized as pro-enzymes and activated in an acidic environments.cathepsin L also convert IL8 precursor into the active form which stimulates neutrophiles and T-lymphocytes to invade inflamed tissue.
