Abstract
Family Apocynaceae comprises trees, shrubs or sometimes herbs, usually with milky sap. Plumeria is a small genus of 7-8 species native to tropical and subtropical Americas. The genus consists mainly of deciduous shrubs and trees.
Although certain species & varieties of the genus Plumeria had attracted the attention of several authors, little have been reported on Plumeria rubra variety acutifolia. It was thus, deemed important to carry out phytochemical & biological studies of Plumeria rubra variety acutifolia cultivated in Egypt.
