Abstract Urinary incontinence (UI) and sexual dysfunction (SD) are closely related Sexually active women with SUI referred for suburethral sling operation 97.1 % experienced in continence during intercourse 91.4 % were cured for SUI and of them 78 % experienced an improved sexual life in relation to both procedures TOT and TVT approach An improvement of ( p1Q-12) score was seen in both TOT and TVT procedure without worsening of sexual function or activity after the surgical treatment so patients can be reassured that these operations will not affect their sexual life in the surgical treatment of SUI it is important to think about the patients’ future sexual life and to inform them that the great part of women can expect to maintain a very good quality of life to improve it |
