Abstract This work is connected with the study of possibility of improving the stability margins of existing conentional thermal power stations using the concept of supplementary signal control on the voltage regulation loops. The system model analysis is given and the system response when undergoing both small and large scale disturbances under various supplementary signal control both individually and collectively is presented. A narrow margin of positive damping is achived and system stability marginally improved when adopting the forgoing phenomenon. |
