Abstract A total of 104 Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates were recovered from 183 different clinical specimens collected from patients attending different clinics of Tanta University Hospitals. The frequency of isolates of P. aeruginosa varied according to sample source being most common in sputum (A total of 104 Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates were recovered from 183 different clinical specimens collected from patients attending different clinics of Tanta University Hospitals. The frequency of isolates of P. aeruginosa varied according to sample source being most common in sputum (41.3%), followed by urine (28.8%), burn (33.6%). On the other hand, lowest frequency of isolation was recorded in ear (3.8%), blood (3.8%) and catheter tip (2.9%) samples. |
