Abstract
SUMMARY-126 SUMMARY The present study was carried out at the Poultry Farm of The
Egyptian Arab Company for Poultry - In- Kilo 72 Cairo-Alexandria
Desert Road 6th of October City - Egypt. The Experiment lasted from
November 2008 until February 2010. In order to, estimate some studies
on the characteristics of egg production {such as Egg production
(H.H&H.D), Fertility(F), Hatchability (H), Number of chicken, egg
weight (EW), age at sexual maturity, body weight (BW)} In addition to
some other Traits and try to improve it economically, In Cobb 500 Broiler
Breeder chickens.
The experiment was planned to investigate the relationship of age
at sexual maturity and some economic traits in Cobb 500 Broiler Breeder
chickens. The onset of sexual maturity is regulated by day length
response to light becomes important only as these birds approach sexual
maturity.
A total of (5612 bird {4880 female + 732 male}) 1-d-old Cobb
500 broiler breeder pullets were use in this study. Results were discussed
and summarized as follows :
1. Means:
1.1. There were significant differences (P≤0.05 ) between males and
females for body weight , feed consumption and mortality.
1.2. Means of BW between groups of birds were 1542.42, 1609.98 and
1612.2 g in (C), (G1) and (G2) during growing period.
