Abstract The aims of the study were ”assess quality of life of patients with heart failure” and ”identify the factors affecting the quality of life of patients with heart failure ”. Structured interview questionnaire was used to collect data from 102 adult patients from selected Port Said hospitals. The result of this study revealed that 80.4% of patients reported mild problem in spiritual aspect followed by 37.3% in social aspect, while majority of patients 97.1% reported severe problem in physical aspect followed by psychological aspect 73.5%. There was statistically significant difference between physical aspect of QOL and residence. There was statistically significant difference between social aspect of QOL and age. There was statistically significant difference between spiritual aspect of QOL and type of work. Finally, there was statistically significant difference between total QOL aspects and age, sex, marital status, educational level, type of work, residence and living accommodation. |
