Abstract

IMPORTANCE OF RESEARCH:
This research :
• Help students to appropriate skills and self-reflective analysis.
• Document student learning in areas that do not let themselves to traditional evaluation.
• Facilitate communication with parents.
• Encourage the diversification of means likely to affect the process of writing.

* Officials, researchers and teachers know precisely the criteria which we can measure the progress of education.
In this study, we performed the analysis and interpretation of results in stages:
The first Chapter that contains the research problem
The second Chapter of our research dollar into three parts:
In the first part, the researcher shows the role of new technology and its impact on the teaching of French language the second part includes the electronic portfolio as technological support 0
In the third part deals with the skills of written composition and its evaluation
For the third chapter, the researcher reviewed the previous studies on the topic of research.
For convenience, the researcher divided the studies into three categories:
1 - Study on the electronic portfolio
2 - Study on the strategy of self-assessment
3 - Study on the skills of written composition
For the fourth chapter, this chapter includes the experimental study, at the same time it is divided into five parts:
The first part contains content analysis of university textbook (course in French language) according to the skills of self-evaluation of written composition.
For the second part, it contains the results of content analysis and their interpretations.
The third part includes the presentation of the program of study.
The fourth part contains the commentary of the work of the learners’ written composition
The fifth section contains the discussion and interpretation of results
Results of analysis of the textbook university courses in language Frenchified intended for students of second year French section at the Faculty of Education according to the skills of written composition:
- The skills of written composition on spelling 11%
- Powers of the essay on the syntax 9%
- Skills of written composition on the vocabulary 11.6%
- Powers of the essay on grammar 69%
This indicates that the composition of university textbook written for students of second year French section is not presented in a consistent
Results of content analysis of electronic portfolios of students by observation grid of self-evaluation of written composition:
- The skills of written composition on spelling 21%
- Powers of the essay on the syntax 34.5%
- Skills of written composition on the vocabulary 17%
- Powers of the essay on grammar 27%
Finally the results of pre-post test using the equation-Wilcoxon Paired-Mached Ranks indicate that, ’there is no significant difference even at the level (1,000) between the two means at pretest. At the same time there are significant differences between mean scores of two groups at post-test at the 0.05 level for the experimental group, this shows us the effectiveness of using the electronic portfolio to develop skills self-evaluation of written composition in the second year students of French section at the Faculty of Education.
