Abstract In order to get to the power required in research reactors operating in the steady state, must be able to stabilize with time, there are several factors that affect the stabilizing ability over time, such as the change in temperature, or the request to i’ncrease or reduce the power or withdrawal of control rods, or other factors, so there must be a control system automatically will be responsible for the insertion or withdrawal of control rods to reduce or increase the power, or to adjust for these changes to let the stability of the ability of the reactor at the required power. This thesis, presents Simulation Models to simulate the control system in the Research Reactor, The existing control system is a real - time environment and using conventional PD controller (Proportional -Derivative).The proposed PD control system is applied to control RR Simulation model in operational transient, using Matlb/Simulink. The obtained simulation results compared with available RR operation data are in good agreement which means that the verification of simulation model has accurate perfonmnce to simulate the RR power control system. |
