Abstract
In order to create absorbent pads to adsorb the blood and the wound solutions, Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and Carboxymethyl starch (CMS) were prepared by different DS.
A superabsorbent hydrogel of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) was prepared by UV system using methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) as a crosslinking agent and Photo initiator, and a hydrogel of carboxymethylcellulose (CMS) was prepared by redox system using oxidant and reductant.
For investigation of the effect of reaction variables on water absorbency of the hydrogels, the synthetic conditions were systematically optimized through studying the influential factors, the obtained hydrogels were treated by Gentamicin in order to have an antibacterial adorable pad.
