Abstract
Heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) is used to recover energ)” from gas turbine outlet hot gases and produce steam at high temperature and high pressure, to drive steam turbine and produce electricity in combined cycle. So HRSG plays very important role. And Improvement efficiency of HRSG is very useful. The efficiency of HRSG depends on the outlet hot gases temperature of HRSG. The first chapter shows the factors affecting on HRSG ’s efficiency as steam pressure, steam temperature, inlet hot gases temperature, inlet feed water temperature, approach point degree and pinch point degree.
Design of heat recovery steam generator depends on many factors tube assumptions ,inlet hot gases properties and required steam properties .Chapter two shows the calculations of the overall heat transfer coefficient, surface area ,number of tubes, number of rows, friction pressure DROP inside tubes, hot gases pressure DROP and tube wall temperature. Also evaluate drum sizing, riser’s tube sizing, down corner’s tube sizing and natural circulation ratio. Using finned tubes and bare tubes with staggered and inline layout.
Chapter three shows the complete design of heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) reference to NUBARIA POWER STATION. as the calculation will be very complicated and very long ,the computer program will save time .So I made a computer program to design the HRSG ’S components in both units English and SI units ,and the results of the program shows as two tables included the inputs and results ,this program also can make the effect of change of inputs variables and the result can show in table or charts .also this program can calculate the water steam properties software according to international association properties of water and steam 1997 ( IAPWS 97 ), hot gases properties and finding circulation ratio of the evaporator in natural circulation heat recovery steam generator .
