Abstract A Kaizen event is a focused and structured improvement project, using a dedicated cross-functional team to improve a targeted work area, with specific goals, in an accelerated timeframe. Kaizen events have been widely reported to produce positive change in business results and human resource outcomes. However, it can be difficult for many organizations to sustain or improve upon the results of a Kaizen event after it concludes. Furthermore, the sustainability of Kaizen event outcomes has received limited research attention to date. The KAIZEN methods are internationally acknowledged as methods of continuous improvement, through small steps, of the economical results of companies. The small improvements applied to key processes will generate the major multiplication of the company’s profit, while constituting a secure way to obtain the clients’ loyalty/fidelity. This study explains what kaizen means and how it’s very important to implement kaizen in any organization, it’s benefit, what’s the seven waste and how kaizen deals with them, how to implement kaizen and what’s the important principle that kaizen culture depending on then, the tools that helping in implementing kaizen in work place like five-so This study is based on the kaizen implementation in two different sectors of industry with the same technique dealing with different kinds of waste reductions. |
