Abstract
Stem cells are cells that can proliferate that most unlimited potential, maintaining a pool of growing and dividing cells, with the added abilities that some cells can differentiated into specific cell types.
The management of ocular surface disorder by limbal stem cell transplantation procedures which are classified based on the origin of the tissue whether being autograft or an allograft .the different surgical techniques used in limbal stem cell transplantation are limbal auto graft, living relative conjunctival allograft, keratolimbal, the adjunctive use of amniotic membrane and ex-vivo expended transplantation
Stem cell treat degenerative changes of the retina due to disease or injuries are categories into ex-vivo and in vivo .These approaches may be applicable, For treating degenerative changes in the retina associated with diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa , age related macular degeneration and glaucoma .
