Abstract
Pressure sore is defined as any area of damaged skin and underlying tissues caused by unrelieved pressure and including reactive hyperemia as well as blistered, broken or necrotic skin.
in orthopaeedic wards, incidences of pressure sores are much higher than other wards. once pressure sore develops, the nurse should institutd certain measures to minimize its progress, promote its healing and control infection.
