Abstract Neurological complications are among the central problems in DM. Most diabetic patients are affected by neurological disorders. Vascular dysfunction plays a major role in many complications associated with diabetes. Diabetic neuropathy and neurovascular complications represent a major health problem. Therefore, Considerable attention has been directed to explore new therapeutic strategies which can reduce hyperglycemia and associated neurovascular complications. The present work aimed mainly to: I. Clarify the adverse effects of diabetes on neurovascular outcomes as well as to address the molecular mechanisms underlying them. II. Evaluate the effect of Resv, either as monotherapy or in combination with Rosi and/or Rosu, on modulating neurovascular complications in diabetic and diabetic brain IR rats. III. Investigate the histological changes in cerebral tissue of diabetic and diabetic brain IR rats. IV. Identify the possible correlations between hyperglycemia, cerebrovascular markers and the other studied parameters. |
