Abstract The prevalence of obesity is increasing dramatically in developed countries even in rich countries also and has doubled ortripled in the past few decades. Concomitantly, the proportion of obese patients presenting for surgery has increased, leaving us with many challenges associated with obesity. from both a surgical and anesthetic point of view, obese patients are considered high- risk, as they incur a significant increase in perioperative morbidity and br>mortality. The aim of thi study was assess the influence of various ventilatory strategies on haemodynamics, arterial oxygenation and respiratory mechanics during laparoscopy in morbidly obese patients.
