Abstract The present work was performed to study some bacterial respiratory affections in broiler flocks. This study included isolation onto blood agar, blood agar with gentamycin and MacConkey’s agar and identification according to the laboratory manual for isolation and identification of avian pathogen. The pathological part was designed to report the pathological changes and correlate between it and the causative agent. The samples were selected from thirty two farms from different localities at Sharkia and AdDakahlia province suffering respiratory signs through 4 seasons and include several ages and all breeds. Only 53 cases selected from freshly dead or slaughtered and collected for both microbiological and pathological examination. The bacteriological result was among 53 cases 49 cases there were bacterial growth. Thirty two (60.4) cases were single growth. Escherichia coli 22 (41.5 %), Pseudomonas 4(7.5%), Staphylococcus 2(3.8%), Proteus one case (1.9%), Salmonella one case (1.9%), Pasteurella one case (1.9%) and Klebsilla one case (1.9%). seventeen cases out of 53 were mixed growth Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus Were 8 (15.1 %) , Escherichia coli and Omithobacterium were 3 (5.7%) , Escherichia coli and Salmonella were one (1.9%), Escherichia coli and Proteus, Escherichia coli, Proteus and Omithobacterium were one (1.9%), E. coli, Proteus ,Streptococcus and Enterobacter were one (1.9%), Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas were one (1.9%), Pseudomonas and Staphylococcus were one (1.9%).and four(7.5) cases out of 53 were no growth. |
