Abstract

It is suggested to fertilize Williams banana plants grown under Minia region with the suitable amount of N (500 g/ plant/ year) through 50 % ammonium nitrate (746 g ammonium nitrate/ plant/ year) + 50 % poultry manure (5.0 kg/ plant/ year) + Minia Azotene (125 g/ plant/ year) for producing superior yield, improving fruit quality and reducing nitrite and nitrate pollution. Thus, it can be replaced 50 % of the inorganic N partially with 50 % organic and biofertilizers in order to improve productivity and produce healthy and high fruit quality crop fitted for safe local and foreign
consumption. Application of such promised treatment in one feddan realized net return reached 13200 and 17250 Egyptian pounds over control treatment during both seasons, respectively.
