(PPD) is the main toxic ingredients of hair dyes.
Hair dyes containing PPD were used in some communities for criminal purposes and more frequently for attempted suicide and sometimes accidentally ingested.
Many cases of toxicity and mortality either due to accidental or deliberate ingestion of hair dyes were reported in Egypt, other Middle East countries and India. Many researchers reported the occurrence of systemic’ toxicity through transdermal absorption. 1- Analytical characterization of PPO containg hair dye currently used in Egypt (SlID) and to identify the suitable methods of detection and quantification of its components that may be potentially toxic on oral or dermal exposure.
2- Study chemical reactions of SHD and PPD through preparation components of chloroacetamide containing nitrogen heterocyclic.
3- Evaluate the cytotoxicity of SlID and PPD at different doses.
