Abstract
The present study was conducted at two time periods the 1st one was at a private farm and the 2nd one was at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Suez Canal University. For conducting this work two breeds of rabbits New Zealand White rabbit (30 does and 4 bucks) and Hyplus breed (20 does and 4 bucks) were used. The main outcome of this study was that the breed had a significant effect on sperm cell concentration x 106/ml. On the other hand, the 2nd ejaculate was higher than 1st ejaculate concerning mass motility, individual motility, sperm cell concentration x 106/ml and live sperm%. Egg yolk used as diluent was higher at individual motility, sperm cell concentration x 106/ml and live sperm%.Using as an extender in AI egg yolk gives better results at number of service / conception than sodium citrate. Artificial insemination gives higher results in number of NSC; litter size at birth, 21 days, weaning and litter number at marketing; individual weight at marketing; average daily weight gain from 21 days till weaning and average daily weight gain from weaning till marketing.
