Abstract The vectorial competence of phlebotomus (p.) papatasi for two secies of Leishmania, L. troica and L. major, was invesyigated. Two P. papatasi send fly aliquots originating from Suez Governorate, Egypt were membrane fed on homogenized hamster,c lesion infected with L. major, MHOM/EG/06/RTC-63 (Northern Sinai), and L.troica, MGER/EG/06/RTC-74 identified from patients with suspected cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) in Northern Sinai, Egypt. |
