Abstract

The importance of the early diagnosis of bovine tuberculosis is due to that it
is widely spread in the world. It is considered highly zoonotic diseases between
man and animal, due to the highly economic losses in the world. In addition to
the highly spreading of this diseases in the developing country.
Therefore this study concerned with the following items :-
1- inspect three thousands cattle with different ages from 7 Governorates of
Egypt (Qualubia – Sharkia – Ghrbia – Giza – Behara – Sohag – Ismailia ) were
tested by using tuberculin skin test ( SIDT ) and the results of positive (137)
out of 3000 tested animals with (4.6%) .
2- The positive reactors were slaughtered in the abattoir of these different
governorates and the PM examination for these animals, revealed VL in 94
animals with 68.61% and the reminder had NVL with 43 animals 31.39%. After
application of post mortem finding it was cleared that there was Tuberculous
like lesions in (pulmonary system, digestive system, mixed systems,
generalized) and then finding were recorded in the results the results were 41
(29.9%), 19(13.9%), 20 (15%) and 14 (10.2.9 %) respectively.
3- These results were compared with the age of animals. In age of less than 2
years, the pulmonary, digestive, mixed and generalized VL were 1 (33.3%), 0
(0%), 1 (33.3%) and zero (0%) respectively out of 3. In 2-4 years, the
pulmonary, digestive, mixed and generalized VL were eight (42.1%), six

(31.6%), three (15.8%) and one (5.26%) respectively out of (19). In 4-5 years,
the pulmonary, digestive, mixed and generalized VLwere 22 (50%), 7 (15.9%),
10 (22.7%) and 5 (11.4%) respectively out of 44. In age of more than 5 years,
the pulmonary, digestive, mixed and generalized VL were 10 (34.5%), 6
(20.7%), six (20.7%) and eight (27.6%) respectively.
