Abstract Small businesses are generally regarded as the driving force of economic growth and job creation in developing countries, while the contributions of small businesses to development are generally acknowledged; small business firms in Egypt face many obstacles that limit their long-term survival and development. These obstacles include a lack of financial resources, lack of awareness of investment, management experience, marketing and infrastructure. Lack of finance resources has been identified as the main factor militating against the small business growth and development, commercial banks believed that small business were a high risk group as a result a large portion of the small business sector doesn’t have access to adequate forms of credit. |
