Abstract Musaremeat of power system frequeacy ill an important task sinc:e the frequency deviation value il a good indicator of tbe system abnormal operatiag c:oaditions. Aeeurate meuun:ment of power ’)’Item bannonks ts essential to eval118te the harmonic diltortioo io both curn:ot and voltage waveforms aod to c:an desiga hanoooio nlten. The n:seareh iB based on four tec:hnlques (Short time Fourier transform, Least error square, Newton, and Es.tended Kalmao niter) to trac:k power system frequency and harmonics. These technique~ are applied on (a) simulated signals with kaown harmonics and (b) practical current aad voUag:e measurements. The results show that the short time Fourier transform and the extended Kalmaa niter tec:hniq11011 are more accurate and rob11st to noise than least error square aad Newton techniques. |
