Abstract The present study was conducted throughout two successive seasons (2005/ 2006 and 2007/2008) on banana plants (Musa cavendishii cv. ”Williams Hybrid”) in the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Shoubra El-Kheima, Egypt. The investigation involved three main parts: Part I: Sand culture experiments The aim of this part was to study the effect of different levels of some macro- and micronutrients on growth, mineral content and nutrients uptake of banana, plants produced by in vitro culture technique.
