Abstract

Radiation therapy is used for several purposes to cure by eradi-cating disease control the growth and spread of the diseas allowing the person to live for a time without symptom or reducing symptoms asso-ciated with advanced disease(bucholtz,1992). Radiation therapy is the use of high energy ionizing rays or particles to treat head and neck cancer eatientare delivered to kill as many cancer cells as possible while minimizing the damage to normal cells. Body tissues have limits to the amount of radiation that can be tolerated exceeding those limits can result in serious complication.
