Abstract Samples of ceramic system (100-X) mol% ZnO + X mol% Gd2O3 X=0.05,....., 15, have been prepared. The samples are pressed at 6 tons/cm2 and divided into five series sintered at 1200oC, 1250oC, 1300oC, 1350oC and 1400oC for 1hr. The best nonlinearity characteristics were obtained at 1200oC for 1hr. For comparison between Gd and Pr, the binary system (100-X) mol% ZnO + X mol% Pr6O11, X=1, 3 and 6, and the ternary system 94 mol% ZnO + (6-X) mol% Gd2O3 X mol% Pr6O11, X=1 and 4, have been sintered at 1200oC and at the same preparation conditions. |
