Abstract
The main goal of this research is to study the behavior of piled raft
foundation with small pile group installed under the central area of the raft. An
extensive experimental program consists of fifty four tests for models of single
pile, unpiled raft, freestanding pile groups and piled rafts, has been performed to
study the effect of the different parameters on the average settlement, differential
settlement, and the load of piled rafts.
