Abstract The area under investigation (about 7700 Sq. Km.) lies in the Eastern portion of the Northern eastern Desert of Egypt between latitudes 30° 00’ E, 30° 30’ E. The major topographic geomorphologic feature of this area, which is generally low and level with a maximum relief of 100 meters, is the Fayum circular depression, including the hollows of Wadi El-Rayan and Wadi Euweilih. Several springs are also present. |
