Abstract
Diabetes mellitus and thyroid diseases are the two common endocriniopathies seen in the adult population, so this study was conducted to study the relation between thyroid gland diseases and diabetes mellitus including mutual effect of one on the other The study was a case control study on 310 ’type one ’ diabetic patients and 320 non diabetic as a control group of their relatives with matched criteria regarding both environmental and socioeconomic factors were selected Study population were type one diabetic patients registered in the family health folder in the southern family health centre in shebin elkom city and matched group of their relative as control group The participants will be subjected to after giving consent to participation in the study A.
