Abstract Developing countries have recently discovered the importance of environmental protection and efforts are made to control the pollution. U.A.R. enforced restricted laws in order to save the environment from industrial wastes as one of the main sources of pollution. The objectives of this study are to assess the most suitable treatment of the United Arab of Textile Company at Seouf area which discharged its waste into drains, sewers and sea causes remarkable pollution and leading to fish mortality. The Program included characterization of different processing effluents, possible elimination or segregation of pollution sources, evaluation of the different methods of treatment, selection of optimum treatment technology and assessment of environmental impacts of the untreated and treated effluents using fish bioassays and histopathology as tools. |
